That was the worst provincial campaign of any of our leaders since autumn 1216 when King John marched about dealing with a rebellion & two invasions, caught dysentery in Norfolk, lost the Crown Jewels in The Wash and died in Nottinghamshire

It took some time to create but I think it was worth it. This is a 73 picture Transverse Equirectangular pano of the glorious Ely Cathedral. ❤️

You couldn’t make it up . . . and you don’t have to . . . UK tax payer funded power station owner cuts down primary forests in Canada and ships it here to burn . More great work from ⁦BBC Panorama⁩ ⁦BBC One⁩ bbc.co.uk/news/science-e…

"Unless you've got a car, you're not going to be able to get anywhere without a lot of problems." People shouldn’t need to have a car to be able to make their most frequent journeys. Investing in public transport and active travel needs to be a priority👇bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

I responded to this consultation. We need bold initiatives to reduce the blight of air pollution in Oxford, which disproportionately affects lower income communities. If you have other ideas on improving mobility in the city, why not mail [email protected]

Woken up so angry. Had a hysteroscopy yesterday. No preparation or sedation. No understanding of what it was. Fainted and fitted while it was being done. Now totally traumatised. Feel like men wouldn't accept this kind of treatment and neither should we. #hysteroscopy

This is such sad news. The significance of Latour’s lifetime of work cannot be understated. I loved how you could tell he was chuckling to himself when he was writing, and the sense of achievement when you finally got one of his jokes. newsinfrance.com/death-of-socio…

Waiting for bus yesterday my thoughts included “what is cost of gritting pavement and cycle lanes versus cost of operations to repin peoples joints, deal with head injuries from falls etc”. And why car safety > pedestrian/cycle safety??

And this figure from the paper my my favourite - showing the beautiful variability of tree architecture within and across tree species in one small plot in Wytham Woods. A wonderful example of art in science

It's Europe's most successful new neighbourhood. So why is there so much tension? New Islington has great sourdough and thousands of happy residents - but some people from the 'real Ancoats' feel like they are being looked down on. By Joshi Herrmann. manchestermill.co.uk/p/new-islingto…

Tks to Cambridge Ahead and Jane Paterson-Todd for your kind invitation tonight. Happy to take part in this #Cambridge event. The “city of quarters” report wrote by under 35 years old is a great contribution for a close, inclusive & sustainable city 👌

On #WorldWaterDay we’re highlighting the beauty of a #ChalkStream, one of the clearest sources of drinking water in the UK. It may look serene, but 3/4 UK chalk streams are in poor condition due to development & pollution. We need to #SaveOurWildIsles 👉 fal.cn/3wI5D

How do eco-communities deal with the winter cold and the hard work of off-the-grid heating? What lessons can we draw from this for sustainability transitions? Check out my talk on these issues with #HealthxEnergy. Thank you Energy Geographies (EnGRG) Geographies of Health & Wellbeing Research Group youtube.com/watch?v=p33yqR…

Option 1: make a change that’s 10 times cheaper and will literally save the world Option 2: give some c***s more money Tricky, isn’t it?
