My twitter timeline right now is many women sharing photos of them with their degrees and it's GLORIOUS. It'll go back to dumpster fire soon enough, but this is nice.

“If it’s that bad, you would have help!” Help doesn’t magically arrive when you become disabled. You’re not assigned a caregiver or given more money based on severity. Many need more help than they’re getting. If you’re struggling tonight, know you’re not alone.

I could really use some help. See that negative number? See that "spot me" part? Spot me is credit I can use when I fail to meet my goals. With zero interest, incidentally, which is fukin awesome but, it also gets paid back first whenever I get a deposit from the fundraiser.

Briana Mills, LMFT ♿️🏳️‍🌈🍉 my high school med ethics teacher would say, “its not IF you become disabled its WHEN you become disabled, which is why it is important to advocate for accessibility” because it really is a when, not an if, plus having a more accessible world benefits everyone!

The human body is incredibly resilient. You would be shocked at how sick a person can become and not die. Chronic illness is just that… chronic. The body adapts. It learns to cope with daily suffering. Your baseline shifts and your reality changes.

Disabled people deserve healthcare. Disabled people deserve housing. Disabled people deserve food. Disabled people deserve support. Our ability to work and produce should not determine our value. Disability is not a moral failing. Most people will experience it someday.

This shouldn’t need to be said. Disabled people do NOT deserve to: - Go hungry - Be made homeless - Lose their mobility aids & cars - Be discriminated at work - Dehumanised as parasites - Demonised as scroungers - Receive poor care - Abused and attacked - constantly justify

WHERE ARE THE DAMN EPIPENs??? TRUMP RX CARRIES ZERO EPIPENs. I don’t wanna hear about any new drug website if they don’t carry cheap EpiPen. Millions of people depend on it for life and death.

what this also entails is protecting them from unmitigated airborne viruses in this post public health era. if you truly believe “children are our future” resist this post pandemic simulation and mask accordingly.

I have some rather bad news my X family... After a failed attempt to fix my swallowing issues temporarily this weekend I will be going on Hospice shortly. It's been a real pleasure to share my adventures with you guys and I wanted to let you all know it has meant a lot to me

Masking is a form of mutual aid. Just like sharing a meal or helping with rent, wearing a mask is a direct act of community care. It’s how we show up for the most vulnerable among us without waiting for a mandate to tell us to be kind. #MaskUp #MutualAid
