Long thread warning! So, GoA released an “Action Plan” to modernize primary care yesterday. Since I’ve criticized the lack of any action in this domain, I thought it only fair to carefully read the plan and provide my thoughts. /1

This is a blatant lie/gaslighting. As a Family Physician, two examples of uninsured groups I see frequently are young people working part time or low paying jobs without benefits and older adults retiring before age 65 who lose their employee sponsored benefits.

The misrepresentation of screening benefits/harms in this Canadian Family Physician article is profoundly concerning. Benefits from evolving technologies and treatments for cancer are indisputable as are advantages of earlier stage diagnosis. My response in eLetter 🧵 cfp.ca/content/69/11/…
