The niaviety in Amol Rajan questions on BBC Radio 4 Today regarding Angela Rayner tax affairs is staggering. He should have asked why the 50k ppl facing #LoanCharge, who also took advice from tax advisors, are driven to suicide. The tax advice market is a Wild West. Loan Charge & Taxpayer Fairness APPG

HMRC Prey TaxWatch HMRC exploit ambiguity to extort max tax. HMRC has its own guidance on how to interpret rules which it then ignores when it suits. Navigating this as a taxpayer severely impedes the legal battles that can be won against HMRC's limitless funds - they then brag of 100% success.

The British establishment have already covered this new Banksy up. They don’t want anyone to see their complicity in war crimes, so whatever you do, don’t share it.

The court is erasing Banksy's mural just like it's erasing our right to protest. It only took 48 hours for the Royal Courts of Justice to scrub out a @Banksy showing a judge striking down a protester with his gavel. Silencing a work of art about silencing protest? Maybe it was

Last year, Motability cost more than the entire school maintenance and repairs budget. How did Motability, a government-backed scheme to improve the mobility of disabled people, become so expensive? A 🧵.

If you don't think it's democratic that 33.7% of votes should give a party nearly 64% of the seats in Parliament, then please, sign and share as much as you can. Currently, your vote can be wasted, it can be ignored. Get your voice heard. Equality for all. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7280…

Best and simplest chart I've seen on the increasing cost of the triple lock increases on state pensions. Especially since 2020. If the orange line is the rising cost of living, and the dark blue line is the rising earnings of those who have to pay for the state pension, then

Greg Wright Steve Packham No-one impacted by this retrospective legislation did anything other than organise their affairs in a way that (they believed) was legal and approved. HMRC dreamed up this dystopian idea and sold it to Osborne, then Chancellor. #LoanChargeScandal

The #loancharge was punitively retroactive, and retrospective in its effect. Never should have happened. It's significantly undermined trust in the tax system, undermined certainty, and the rule of law. An independent inquiry is needed to understand how the policy process

🐟 @nobigfish The update is I fell foul of the legal process, not having professional representation and having a busy job and life. So it's another case of being priced out of justice, which is exactly how the system is designed to operate
