What Kendall doesn’t state (behind a paywall Telegraph piece) is that most of disabled population are in fact pensioners. 45%. That the rise in State pension age for women increased disability benefits as confirmed by OBR which Kendall chose to ignore. Pension age increase? 👀 👇🏻

1) The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has stated that cuts to disability support, specifically Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and the health element of Universal Credit, are not definitively necessary, yet the government is going ahead with them.

It seems like pretty much every The Labour Party MP who voted for cuts for the disabled has a history of being against cuts for the disabled.

The sickest people I know are also the best actors. We’ve mastered the role of “I’m fine” because the world doesn’t want the truth. We laugh, smile, and show up while simultaneously fighting fatigue, pain, and discomfort. Nobody realizes the energy it takes just to pretend.

We need to talk more about how disabled people are more likely to be people-pleasers because we need to rely on others to get our basic needs met. We fawn over others in order to survive. To be disabled is to often have trauma responses over if someone is going to help us or not.

The brazen way he just lies and gaslights disabled people. Right from the moment they announced the cuts, they’ve not listened to disabled people. They’ve lied, dismissed, ignored, gaslit disabled people - because we are nothing to them.

We've been a lot less active recently + tbh we completely burnt ourselves out in May-July. TTP was only ever meant to be a pop-up awareness campaign but it became so much more and we're so thankful for that. But it also became more than 4-7 people could handle.
