Four strange looking ‘birds’ thermaling above our garden - a red one, a yellow and two blues. There was a Buzzard much higher up that I wdn’t have spotted if I hadn’t been watching these.

I genuinely believe 75% of Britain’s dog owners shouldn’t be allowed to own dogs

A lady this morning with two terriers was asking me why I was getting my dog to sit and wait while hers went past

At first I thought she was joking 😿

More sustainable than what? Just as the sustainability of meat depends on how it is produced and where, so does that of avos. There is what appears to me to be a good discussion of this in a book with a highly relevant title markavery.info/2023/03/19/avo…

Rarely witness 'meat anxiety'…

We did some analysis looking at the potential impact of the wet winter on the harvests of key crops

We estimated a net decline of 4m tonnes, driven by a 26.5% drop in the wheat harvest

All based on Defra UK yield data & AHDB crop area forecasts

Here’s a thread on it 🧵

Well both my moth traps were empty in South Norwich this morning, but we did have a lovely furry Lime Hawk Moth sitting on the top of the actinic. A miracle it wasn’t gobbled up by a robin
