My letter in today’s Times: last week’s ECHR climate ruling isn’t “imposing solutions” on people, it’s imposing action. When UK Govt fails to act sufficiently - delaying heat pump & EV rollout, opening new oil fields - its feet should be held to the fire.

b) says stuff about EVs that is pretty misleading

This one, by Ross Clark, also says some fairly misleading things about road pricing

So here's a thread to correct the narrative - buckle up!

Maybe forcing an entire landscape into maximum productivity is a greater threat to food security than allowing some parts of that landscape to maximize provision of the ecosystem services (pollinating insects, pest eating birds, flood abatement) that underpin food production.
