I'm no apologist for Diane Abbott. I often find myself on the other side of her opinions but given the awful abuse she suffered for being a black woman at the front of politics, she needed support & understanding from Labour and its leaders. What she got was the polar opposite.

In recent weeks, I have been contacted by many concerned by the proposed cuts to the Winter Fuel Allowance. Yesterday, I voted against this cut and will continue to stand up for pensioners, many of whom are on low fixed incomes, who will be impacted across Chesham and Amersham.
