We're on the look out for English teachers, regardless of experience, to take part in a series of small conversations that discuss all things literature, as part of a new project with @JohnCattEd. If this is something you're interested in, click the following link:

Far too many women have been on the receiving end of harassment, abuse and violence for far too long. With violence against women and girls declared a ‘National Emergency’, we need our male allies to stand up and call out troubling behaviour when they see it. #JustDont

When it comes to GCSE and A level English, the assessment system is broken. Unreliable marking, opaque and inconsistently applied mark schemes, shambolic moderation & standardisation procedures, unfair appeals processes. Never mind curriculum revamps. it's time to fix this mess.

This is completely unacceptable. It happens much too often and it's simply not fair. So much rests on these exams and they are not reliable enough to put so much weight on them - either for schools or for individual students. Something must change.

On our way bright (still dark) and early for #rED24! Come hear us (Nichola Leech) speak about HW not once but TWICE! We will answer these burning questions. Session 3 in K14: What *is* the homework conundrum? Session 5 in K14: How do we build a culture of independent study?

Schools have a big role to play in directly saving lives here by ensuring pupils & families receive the information they need about the HPV vaccine so they can make an informed choice.
