🥳The Cranedale Centre is 40 years old today, so we reckon that means we've served over 60 000 roast dinners. Thanks to everyone who's been a part of our story so far (especially those who did roast dinner pot wash!).🥳

A short thread on hawthorn blossom, why we only perceive a small part of the true beauty of the flowering world, and how looking at flowers helps us to understand the minds of insects. (1/10)

Chocolate-tip is undergoing a major range expansion in Yorkshire this year to the north and north-west, with several records over 20K from last year's limit. Here is one we caught at Brafferton.

I cannot fathom why anyone would want to fell #SycamoreGap There is no justification. My brain cannot compute it.. What on Earth will be left for the next generation if folk in society act in this way?
