Exciting times ahead for SAS. I’m pleased to announce that I am the recently appointed new CAO and today we had a whopping 5 resources on duty, available to respond to calls.

Pager started ringing as I was about to tuck into bed, quickly got to the base, geared up and straight to two missing children, both were found and treated accordingly. You never know what’s around the corner, maybe volunteer yourself..

Earlier this evening I was paged to support a search and rescue operation for two missing children. Upon finding the children I used my skills as a nurse paramedic in conjunction with my fellow mountain rescue team members to treat both children and handover to SAS.

Today I attended another incident with a fallen person in the river, they were evacuated and handed over to SAS.

UKMG doing amazing, only second day into operational shifts. Today we saw the opening of the new MAU ward. ICU to come soon.

Recently UKMG have been dealing with an increase in patients, including COVID19.
