One of the reasons our Older Persons Care team launched 'Reconditioning for Discharge' initiative focusing on getting patients up, out of bed for mealtimes in particular & encouraging participation in ADLs on the ward. Vitally important to reduce hospital acquired deconditioning.

Love listening to my patients' stories & interesting anecdotes from their lives. As an OT, it's one thing we do best, gathering a person's occupational narrative or life story. Unfortunately, I don't always have enough time to listen to the whole story 😕
