Fantastic morning in the NAS College in Tullamore today as we brought the NAS crew and the Edenderry CFR team back together with the family and friends of Robert Mazur who we're delighted to say is back to full health following a cardiac arrest and ROSC on Christmas morning.

We attended Presentation College, Wexford and St. Marys CBS Enniscorthy to speak to students about career options in the Ambulance Service. Talks by Community Engagement Officer Jonathan Lynch, Oprational Resource Manager for Wexford - Ger Carty and AP Supervisor Coleman Gilligan

Community First Responders (CFR) are volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls in their communities. They aim to get there in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.

On Wednesday NAS took part in a training exercise involving the transfer of a “patient” with a High Consequence Infectious Disease.

Sims are an important part of our training, practicing the process with others including the Mater Hospital Trauma team.
