I read The Road last year on my honeymoon (in retrospect, an odd choice considering the setting). Once I started I couldn't put it down. Finished it in a day by a pool in Greece. But for those few hours, I was in a far-off desolate wasteland... Cormac's world. What a legend. RIP

Just published a new article! 👇🏾 Companies that achieve Product/Market Fit — both self-funded and VC-funded — exhibit the same prototypical metrics curves and subjective experiences. Many thanks for pressing 🔁 and ❤️! longform.asmartbear.com/product-market…

Looks like "Her" came sooner than we thought. Very impressive demo, especially with the #OpenAI GPT support. Amazed by the price point too. Seems like Apple/Siri should have owned this lane by now... will be interesting to see if it becomes a case study in the innovator's dilemma

The don’t make ‘em like Prince anymore. I realize he’s a genius and as singular as it gets, but I feel the market over corrected on guitar heroes. Where are they today? There’s an opportunity for a kid who can shred like this on top of pop(ish) music. youtu.be/dWRCooFKk3c?si…

I hate $17 burgers just as much as the rest of y'all, but Barry Ritholtz has a point here. Worth keeping unemployment rate vs inflation in mind, esp in this environment.ritholtz.com/2022/11/which-…

Ladies, they’re not just thinking about the Roman Empire. They’re also constantly thinking about the Costco business model.

Recently started using Perplexity and wow... 1) feels like they nailed the UI 2) the speed is remarkable 3) the "related" section at the bottom of the queries makes it very easy to go down rabbit holes 4) everything is cited Officially pinned to my home screen

Wonder what the economics are of this new Joe Rogan deal? The initial deal likely did it's job of attracting new users given the 232% increase in podcast consumption over that time. But what is the upside for $SPOT in licensing it non-exclusively? cnn.com/2024/02/02/med…

This is incredible. Sounds like an idea I've pitched to buddies after a late night out. Old sportswriters everywhere are firing up their type writers as we speak to drop the think-piece of a lifetime forbes.com/sites/robertha…

big secret to happiness is just liking stuff. finding more stuff to like. finding ways to like stuff you didn’t before. recognizing what it feels like to like something and doubling down on that. what feels frivolous is actually the whole ballgame

I’m admittedly a non-OG Los Camp! fan. 1st exposure was “No Blues” in ‘13. But man.. “All Hell” has quickly become my favorite album of the year so far. Ian Cohen describes perfectly where this “ultimate” album fits into the catalogue.. “big enough… to last a lifetime” 🤌
