The state of the railway bridge from London Road to Lyon Park Avenue in #Wembley is a big concern for local people. I have been asking Brent Council to put pressure on Network Rail to make improvements for years. Today I’ve written to them requesting a meeting. They must act.
And shout out to Brent Liberal Democrats for coming out again to volunteer, and for promising a full time ranger for the Welsh Harp should they win the election! Fingers crossed 😁
And the third team out today! Great to build on the momentum from last week’s fantastic election results! Thanks to Liberal Democrats Party President Mark Pack 🔶 for launching our campaign for Patrick Stillman in #SouthHampstead. And thanks to Rob Blackie 🔶 and Brent Liberal Democrats for your support!
Good to see some of team #Brent supporting our Camden Lib Dems 🔶 neighbours 💛

I totally agree and have responded in full to your email. I’m pleased that through repeat reporting the Council have agreed to install CCTV at several hotspot locations on the Abbey Estate. 🥀 It is clear Brent Labour are failing our area. #Alperton deserves so much better.
Really good to meet with residents on Manor Farm Road in #Alperton with Cllr Hannah Matin, to discuss issues & needed improvements to this part of the ward. As Liberal Democrats Councillors we have been asking Brent Council to act for years. I’m glad we’re finally getting somewhere! 💪🏽
.Brent Council’s decision to allow development in Barham Park is a travesty and not in keeping with their own policies. ClIr Paul Lorber has started a petition demanding protection of local parks. 🥀 They're not safe with Brent Labour. Please sign ✍🏽 democracy.brent.gov.uk/mgEPetitionDis…
🧵 Here’s a thread with my contributions at Full Council last night. 🔶 The Brent Liberal Democrats Group asked several questions and spoke in every debate on the agenda. Including: 🚓 Supporting the findings of the Casey Review 🌳 Protecting local parks & open spaces 🎂 Celebrating the NHS
Excellent to catch up with Caroline Pidgeon at City Hall today. 🚨 This week we’ve had the promising news that #Alperton station is FINALLY being considered for step-free access. We will continue to make the case to TfL and Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan until the required funding is granted!
I am proud to be a member of the true progressive party in British politics. 🔶 Liberal Democrats are not afraid to stand up against draconian, cruel Tory policies like the two child benefit cap. 🥀 The Labour Party continue to disappoint…
We are so delighted to be opening a new group in Alperton and have already started looking for volunteers! This is great news for the babies, toddlers and families in this community - thank you Cllr Anton Georgiou 🔶 Cllr Ketan Sheth for raising our awareness of need!
🤔 At Cabinet I asked about Brent Council’s plan to dispose of 23 Shared Ownership homes in #Alperton. I’ve long argued against this housing model & believe #Brent must fully explain what this decision means for their strategy on housing & other schemes. harrowonline.org/2023/07/18/hea…
