I loved listening to and talking with Archbishop Angaelos about our many shared interests — which focused on the importance of working in partnerships to address health inequalities.
Holding @HealthierNWL to account over its proposed introduction of same day hubs across North West London (nwlondonicb.nhs.uk/news/news/impr…) 👇
14k people signed saveourfamilydoctors’s petition against the plans. Pleased they have been paused. 🧑⚕️👩⚕️
Thrilled to be joining my amazing friend Steve Chalke for a discussion on inequalities.

Much saddened to hear that Karen Giles, head of Barham Primary, has passed away.
Fiercely intelligent, yet kind and generous, she served as headteacher and Brent children with pride: she advocated for them with an energy that few others could match.
She will be sorely missed.
What good news that Preston Park Primary has been rated GOOD by Ofsted! WD Georgina Nutton & team!
I applaud all the pupils at the School — I hope you’re proud of the commitment you’re making to yourself, your family, and your future: I certainly am. #ReachHigher

Great to spend time with Chaand Nagpaul & Meena Thakur and hear about the importance of personalised care and continuity of care which ensures better outcomes for our residents.
Accessing GP appointments is a priority for our residents.
And thanks to the partnership work between the Brent Council, NHS and Wembley Park, we’ll soon have a new state-of-the-art Wembley Park Medical Centre delivering for our community.
NHS are consulting on the future of maternity services for North London.
It’s important that NHS hears residents’ views on the future of services to fully understand the implications of the proposed changes, and how they could be improved or changed.

Recently, I had the chance to sit down with young people from John Lyon School to talk about health inequalities — these students are organising in their communities, finding solutions to important challenges, and using their voices to bring about change.
The development of a children’s residential home in Brent, supported by govt, will enable more children to stay in the borough & help them transition successfully to adulthood.
Brent Tories seek to overturn that decision — join me at #ScrutinyBrent as I review their request.
Today, at #ScrutinyBrent , I’ll be reviewing NHS proposals for maternity services in North Central London.
NHS preferred option is to close birthing centre at Edgware & move maternity service from Royal Free to Whittington.
Join me as I explore what this means for the residents.
