Branko Bjelobaba FCII Asked for proof of 3 quotes when our buildings insurance shot up to 125k from 25k. Told only 1 company returned an offer. When I asked for evidence of approaching for 3 quotes, they produced RFQs from a marine insurer and another company who were ill-equipped to quote for BI.

Completely agree... "I am ever hopeful that the insurance sector will now have to consider the interests of leaseholders rather than see them as a cash cow for the benefit of everyone else.” says Branko Bjelobaba FCII thetimes.co.uk/article/2512f5…

Jenny Batchelor, a former leaseholder who lost £50,000 on her flat in Woking, Surrey, due to spiralling insurance charges, said: “The proposals only consider one part of the picture and are a sticking plaster on a broken system.” Leasehold is a debt trap. uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/fca-build…

“A drawback to the reforms is that leaseholders will continue to lack control … Such a change would necessitate broader property law reform and, consequently, primary legislation from the government.” uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/fca-build…

Pleased to have my comment (and face) published in Rabina Khan's article on #Leasehold insurance reforms for Yahoo Finance UK. These 'reforms' are useless for those of us who lost thousands selling due to sky-high insurance premiums! Commonhold Now uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/fca-build…

Since the publishing of Financial Conduct Authority rules on multi-occupancy insurances last week, I have been asked for a lot of comment and it is great to appear in this Yahoo News piece from Rabina Khan together with Harry Scoffin. We need fundamental reform of leasehold. uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/fca-build…

Good stuff here. Leaseholders should be seeing what insurances they are paying for and with the biggest 6 insurers paying less in commissions to brokers, premiums should be coming down. Tell me what's happening with yours.

One day there will be an inquiry into the leasehold scandal. As part of it, they will scrutinise the role of politicians. Claire Fox will be one of a tiny few who are not ignorant and complicit. Why did successive governments keep this wicked system going all these years?

Great advocacy here from Shaun Bailey. It is not over until it is over. Leaseholders, you are roaring! Your MPs are being bombarded with your emails urging them to save the Bill, to smuggle it into the wash-up. Keep believing in miracles.

A real turning point in the leaseholder liberation campaign today. Special thanks to Matthew Pennycook MP for pushing to make it happen and his forensic analysis of the recently passed LAFRA, which leaseholders are desperate to have brought into force. The Labour Party promising real change.
