Teachers like Roger Crume go above and beyond to not only educate our children, but to celebrate them, support them and make them feel seen. Our public school teachers are heroes. We need to step up for them by investing in the Education First Plan.

There are 11,000 teacher vacancies across our state. Think about what that means for the children in those classrooms. We must increase teacher pay. We can't compete if we rank 44th in the nation for starting pay, and that's a fact. It's time we show our teachers we value them.
