Delighted to share the latest GWAS from the PGC Consortium Suicide Working Group, published today in Am J Psych! Mount Sinai Psychiatry Mount Sinai Genetics @bronfman_inst🧵below with the highlights thanks to our PGC SUI Outreach team Maria Koromina & Emily Diblasi!
Excited that our paper addressing the limited overlap between eQTLs and GWAS hits is now published in Nature Genetics! nature.com/articles/s4158…
This was a really wonderful collaboration with Kurt Farrell and @JohnCraryMDPHD. What really excited me about this work is how we could link 3 of the 6 PSP GWAS loci to oligodendrocytes (thanks Alexi Nott 🏳️🌈), one of the cell types that undergoes tau pathology in PSP!
Really excited to share this work and grateful to have been a part of this collaboration, congratulations Kurt Farrell! Very exciting findings and implications from this work.
Towfique Raj, Panos Roussos and I are very pleased to announce the release of the isoform-centric microglia genetic atlas (isoMiGA), a successor to last year’s MiGA project, now available on medRxiv as a preprint: medrxiv.org/content/10.110…
Our most recent work is now published at Nature Genetics. Epigenetic variation impacts individual differences in the transcriptional response to influenza infection. Great collab with Guillaume Bourque lab and huge congrats to the lead author @katiearacena. Link: shorturl.at/bcdBP
Not sure what's the causal gene at your favorite GWAS locus? Ask ChatGPT :) Interesting preprint on the value of LLMs in causal gene prediction by 23andme scientists (Suyash Shringarpure et al.) "Here, we demonstrate that large language models (LLMs) can accurately identify genes likely
Heading to Denver for #ASHG24 #ASHG2024! Excited to share latest work on #RNAediting in the brain (featured session lead by Winston Cuddleston ), #APOE-stratified QTLs in microglia (TatsuhikoNaito ) & single-cell eQTLs (Jin) + splicing regulation in 10K brains (Aline Réal ,
Ecstatic to see our paper "Long-read RNA sequencing atlas of human microglia isoforms elucidates disease-associated genetic regulation of splicing" now published in Nature Genetics with Towfique Raj Panos Roussos Friedman Brain Institute nature.com/articles/s4158…
