In the spirit of the new year, out with the old … [ESI status], and in with the new … [NIH FUNDING]!! I received the NoA for my first R01 right before Christmas – just what I wished (/worked) for. Thankful for my awesome collaborators BarrowNeurological who supported this idea!
A paper by #neuroimaging scientist Ashley Stokes was 1 of Scientific Reports' top 100 downloaded #neuroscience papers of 2021! The paper on diffusion tensor imaging for #Alzheimersdisease was among 3,460+ neuroscience papers published by the journal last year: bar.rw/3IAsqd2
Excited to share a new paper by @NickSisco1932, which describes Julia-based estimation of SIR myelin maps. Code/documentation: github.com/nicksisco1932/… BarrowNeurological The Julia Language Peer Jochems peerj.com/articles/13043/ 1/3
Come join our fun and collaborative team! With Richard Dortch, we are developing new #MRI methods to assess myelin and multiscale perfusion in MS. BarrowNeurological has excellent resources - both clinical and neuro imaging - and #PHX is one of the fastest growing cities.
Postdoc position still open. Interested in developing next-generation perfusion and myelin imaging biomarkers BarrowNeurological? Interested in real-world clinical translation? Contact me or Ashley Stokes for details. Please RT.
Anyone interested in studying patient-derived iPSC microglia in the context of C9orf72 ALS/FTD? We have a NIH/R01-funded postdoctoral position available. Bonus - you get to live in the most beautiful part of the USA and get to join a fun lab. BarrowNeurological
#Neuroimaging scientists Ashley Stokes & Richard Dortch have received $875K in grants to further their research of #remyelination. Boosting this natural repair process in the central nervous system is widely seen as the “next frontier” of #MS treatment: bar.rw/3DjkfCZ
BarrowNeurological is getting ready for next year's Summer Undergraduate Neuroscience Student (aka SUNS) program! We are very excited to welcome another cohort of young and enthusiastic neuroscientists to spend the summer with us in Phoenix, AZ.
Barrow #neuroimaging researcher Dr. Richard Dortch has received a @DeptofDefense grant to develop an imaging method to better diagnose #peripheralnerveinjuries & monitor recovery. He is collaborating with Dr. Rory Murphy, Dr. Ping Wang, & Vanderbilt University: bar.rw/3FQhrNy
Are you interested in exploring & contributing to the frontiers of imaging? If so, consider applying to this new Masters in Imaging Science program at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. It's lead by world-renowned scientists from VUIIS. For questions, please contact [email protected]
