Congratulations on your maiden speech yesterday, David Smith MP 🌹. The #WASPI women in North Northumberland look forward to your support to ensure that they get #FairAndFastCompensation for the injustice they have suffered. Already they have waited too long.

In the letter I raised the alarming statistics uncovered by the #WASPI Campaign that reveal nearly 300,000 women have died before ever receiving a penny of what they're owed. That's an absolute disgrace and a figure that should shame the UK government into immediate action.

Labour have had years in opposition to consider the case of the #WASPI Campaign women, who should now be a central priority for them in government. More delays and "deliberation" means more women will die before they see justice and the money they're due.

#WASPI Campaign estimate 111 WASPI women die every day. That's more than 1,800 women since I sent that letter. Far too many women have spent the last remaining years of their lives fighting for something they should never have been denied. thenational.scot/news/24530252.…

I'll always stand with the WASPI women, and I was pleased to reaffirm my support for fair and fast compensation at SNP Conference last weekend. I’ll do everything I can in parliament to ensure the UK government pays up and finally delivers justice.

There can be only one answer for the 3.6 million #WASPI women still waiting for #FairAndFastCompensation, Clive Lewis MP. Parliament must act on Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman recommendations, and Parliamentary time is needed to secure that.
