One simply cannot expand medical school places without expanding opportunities for postgraduate training. A scandal, in my opinion.

Please please, if you’re a PA, don’t complain to doctors about the job market and say things like ‘we might have to move house to find a job’, it’s extremely aggravating and shows almost zero insight whatsoever.

I have worked hard for West Mids doctors this year. Overturned malicious ARCP outcomes for striking doctors, got PAs out of theatres and off doctors’ rotas, my trust adopted the ‘first right of refusal’ for training opportunities for doctors, and I supported many doctors in 2/4

challenging poor rota compliance. At this year’s JDConf I proposed a successful motion to reform the exception reporting system to remove the ES/CS component which has ultimately gone on to be part of the govt’s pay offer. ✅ 3/4
