Completely agree. Team-based primary care is the way to reduce the number of Albertans without primary care. AB missed a huge opportunity to move this forward with the new family doctor funding model. As often occurs, the focus has continued to be doctors. edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column…

80+% of our health is driven by public health - not health care. Somehow the UCP has convinced many Albertans that public health is dangerous. It’s time to change the narrative. Opinion: It's time to rebuild public health in Alberta | Edmonton Journal edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column…

We should remove, not create, barriers to COVID-19 vaccination. Alberta government is making some misguided and misinformed decisions for public health. My commentary here: edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column…

Pay attention to this, Alberta. GoA cannot be allowed to use the law to avoid accountability to it's citizens. Let me give you a personal example of how this leads to uninformed decision making & wasteful spending. 🧵 1/7 calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… via Calgary Herald

New WHO–UNICEF data show global childhood vaccination holds steady: 89% of infants received ≥1 DTP dose, 85% completed the full series in 2024. Encouraging—but 14.3 million children remain unvaccinated. We must reach every child. #VaccinesWork shorturl.at/3GinU

Nice article discussing the non-transparent approach of current AB government. Lack of transparency stretches across all areas of govt including health care edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column…

A just for fun thread. Impetus: GoA is funding vax for influenza (which is a good thing) but not covid. This makes no sense to me as contrary to (some) opinions covid is a much bigger killer than flu. They kill the same people (elderly, immune compromised). /1

Let's talk about AB's HC workforce, a 🧵 : The graph is for all of Canada, but this trend continues and is getting worse in AB. Many reasons but key ones: - "refocusing" has eliminated any ability for our province to do workforce planning. NO COORDINATED work being done 1/7
