UT said some Longhorn Band members are “threatening the unity and viability of the band” by not playing The Eyes of Texas. The Daily Texan wants to know if that’s actually true. If you’re in the band, DM me. We want to hear your thoughts. We can keep you anonymous.

UT’s Fine Arts Dean says “it will be expected” that the Longhorn Band plays ‘The Eyes of Texas’ during performances. Despite his letter, at least 20 Longhorn Band members told The Daily Texan they are still not going to play the song. No one told us they would play it.
