Australia had another COVID19 death yesterday, taking our total to 103. Consider this. If we had same death rate as the UK, today we would have 16,000 deaths. The USA has had 122,600 deaths. If the US had the same C19 death rate as Australia, today the US would have 1,300 deaths

There’s a lot of cognitive dissonance that comes with working in a hospital. Easy to forget that a routine day for us is often the worst day of someone else’s life.

Fantastic presentation by Dr Frank Brennan re: VAD & Euthanasia...how do we asses coercion, which is on a spectrum, & is multilayered & complex? A key role for social workers in the interdisciplinary team! #ANZSPM20 #palliativecaresocialworkers

Great reflection by Jo Wood #palliativecaresocialworkers have expertise in working with complexity and in working with those who are structurally/clinically/socially vulnerable and at risk of/or experiencing coercion or coercive control.

Shout out to anyone* in Melbourne that wants a game of cricket tomorrow night. My team is struggling to get 11 covid free, fit players on the park. Warm up starts at 6.30pm at Marvel Stadium. Free beer afterwards, potentially out of a large cup. DM if keen *no test cricketers
