Monday morning’s shooting in Burlington is troubling to us and a horrific act of violence. It is incredibly saddening to hear that the two victims were fellow UVM students. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends grieving during this difficult time.

Regardless of political differences, everyone should acknowledge behavior like this is wrong and cowardly. No elected official in this country should feel intimidated for the difficult everyday decisions they make. Period.

You say “insults”, I say “accurate descriptions of reality.” We are already the 4th highest taxed state in the country with a new payroll set to take effect later this year and property taxes going up 15-20% in some places. And some Democrats want even more taxes on top of that.
