In collaboration with the local government in Guyana and OceanWise Ltd, we recently installed a buoy to collect tidal and current data for the approaches to Georgetown.

The data the buoy collects will help inform safe navigation and marine management.

On Wednesday, we welcomed the Geospatial Commission to the UKHO.

During the visit, Sarah Hodgetts, Director at the Geospatial Commission, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to become the 33rd member of the UK Centre of Seabed Mapping.
