After 16 years, the Seabourne Pursuit’s arrival at Yasawa-i-Rara heralded a new era for the island’s tourism and economic landscape. On 29 April in Fiji,BrigGen LATIL,visited the Republic of Fiji Navy (RFNS) Stanley Brown naval base in Suva, where he held talks with the Chief of Staff of RFNS, CMDR TOKALAUVERE, about possibilities for joint maritime interactions between Forces Armées en Nouvelle-Calédonie (FANC) & Republic of Fiji Navy.

Having boarded more than 20 vessels since beginning this type of tasking, our presence is already widely felt in the area 🇬🇧 🇫🇯 🇳🇿

UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme in partnership with FMSRCC established the Pacific Regional Vessel Boarding and Search Training Facility in Togalevu, Fiji 🇫🇯. This fully equipped facility will deliver training to boarding teams from Pacific Island Countries. Funded by Japan 🇯🇵

A Guardian to watch over Fijian Waters 🌊 🚢

#AusNavy and the Australian Government recently handed over a second Guardian-Class patrol boat, RFNS Puamau, to the Fijian government during a handover ceremony at #HMASStirling with the Pacific Maritime Security Program.
