The ‘Jarrow Figure’ - created from fragments of C7th glass found at Jarrow which was part of the double Northumbrian monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow founded by Benedict Biscop in 674-5. Now on display at Jarrow Hall in South Tyneside. #StainedGlassSunday #SaxonSunday 📸 My own.
