Charming detail of the graphic #stainedglass style of #HarryStammers (1953) illustrating Pilgrim's Progress in St Matthew's, Buckley, Flintshire, demonstrating his clever use of white-ish tints to highlight the figures and their action C20 Society

I really appreciate this kind of work, making an entirely ne work of art from the old. His windows at Ashdown Forest use salvaged glass, but nowhere near on this scale.
#StainedGlassSunday John Hayward's powerful E window, based on the sacrament of baptism, at Blackburn Cathedral. It is creatively assembled from the salvaged glass of the 30 Victorian nave windows replaced by clear slab glass when the building was enlarged as a cathedral.
#StainedGlass Sunday & look at all that gorgeous unpainted glass! Detail of Burne-Jones/Morris & Co. #StainedGlass Birmingham Cathedral🌟We’ll soon announce live lecture in June on the masterpiece & its conservation, watch this space! own 📷 from scaffold Alexandra Epps Dr Helen Wilson
Well, that's the first time I've seen him in #stainedglass ! Winston Churchill stands above those who served in #WW2 , a #tinylion holds his V sign, John Bull holds 'god save the queen'. 1957 glass by George Cooper-Abbs, made by Wippell & Co. in Exmouth, #Devon . #StainedGlassSunday
These panels are in display at Royal Cornwall Museum on loan. They were saved from destruction by parishoners of St Neot Parish Church in 1650! #StainedGlassSunday
