U.S Bishops do not care about preventative child safety. We don't believe Mr. Kozak has a right to worship publicly in a space with children. Registered sex offenders should be kept out of church services with children in attendance. Care more about the least of these.

Spiritual & psychological abuse by clergy are sources of true harm in the church. Our bar can't be so low for clergy that our only concern is criminal sexual assault. In the vast majority of employment situations, the bar is never that low. The laity deserve better.

Predatory radar is no more real than gaydar. Again, there will be no improvement in sexual failings if delusions are entertained. Sexual predators are some of the best charmers and liars in the world. They are manifestly able to manipulate people into abuse.
