Following the passing of the Children (Care and Justice) Bill, Minister
Natalie Don MSP explains some of its key measures and how it is going to support victims and keep children out of prison. 🔽
Justice Secretary Angela Constance met with New Zealand's Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith in Edinburgh.
They discussed the Victims, Witnesses and Justice Reform Bill, and other areas of shared interest such as the balance between the use of custody and justice in the community.
Community Safety Minister @SiobhianAyr met partners at @StirlingCE to hear from young people about how the project has supported them.
Scottish Government has invested £200,000 funding this year so they can continue to prevent young people from crime and into education, training or work.

More child & vulnerable adult witnesses of crime will get special support to give evidence following £2m of Scottish Government funding.
Justice Secretary Angela Constance also announced £0.5m for Victim Support Scotland to develop remote evidence suites for victims & witnesses.
