Early life events can significantly impact chronic pain. As Dr. Sean Mackey shared on the Huberman Lab episode out now, a recent meta-analysis of brain imaging studies found that people with early adverse life events often show abnormalities in emotional processing and functioning.

My dean in med school (who wrote our dean’s letters) used to say, “Each of you is the best at something and its my job to figure out what that something is.” Find your own something. It’s there. And when you know what it is, the path forward becomes easier.

#Baltimore was my home for 6+ years. Often we drove over or sailed under the Key Bridge. I am devastated to learn about the #bridge collapse today. Prayers for all the families who lost loved ones and for those injured. This picture was captured in 2023 on a summer evening.
