Community nursing is a real privilege, especially when you work within an amazingly supportive team. Check out the link below for details of roles available within Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS trust. It really is the best nursing job ever 🙌🏼

Elaine Maxwell Shaun Wooller Richard Sloggett I don't think they have thought this through (again) the relentless pursuit of frontline skill dilution not only seems to increase risk but also doesn't seem to alleviate workloads

300,000+ nurses will receive ballot papers today in the first Royal College of Nursing (The RCN) strike ballot in its 106-year history. They've been pushed to the brink: From relying on foodbanks, to a staffing crisis that puts patients at risk. Solidarity with the nurses! 🤍

I've added my name to a letter telling the Prime Minister it is time to protect nursing to protect the public. Will you add yours? Without nursing staff, there is no NHS. action.rcn.org.uk/page/113118/ac…

5.Talk about what matters to you at work. Talk to colleagues about what they enjoy, what lights them up and what gives them satisfaction at work. It will be different to what you find rewarding. #HappierNHS

Gratitude to the incredible #NHS staff who saw beyond her diagnosis. Who truly cared for her. Who sang for her. Who held us as we travelled on our journey. Be like them. Be the health professional patients remember.

🚨 MISSING IN ACTION🚨 Health Secretary Steve Barclay ‘hasn’t spoken to unions for a month’ as nurse strikes escalate. Govt Ministers work for us! RT if you want Steve Barclay to explain what he’s doing to resolve #FairPayforNursing & protect our NHS? mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

It was hoped the government would deliver funding for the NHS that could settle pay disputes. Instead there was no new money in the budget for the health service. rcni.com/nursing-standa…

Can someone The RCN direct members to where this is stated in the governance rules? Surely this is a member's right, in a membership organisations, that is member led ..... 🤔

Nursing Standard I have voted to reject this below inflation pay offer which is yet another real terms pay cut. All other sectors are getting an above inflation pay rise after fighting for it. NHS staff should accept no less than 10% but preferably closer to 15%. Of course 19% would be justified.

The latest polling is clear: the public's support for #FairPayForNursing is unwavering. Share this far and wide to remind your colleagues who we're doing this for - our patients, and they are with us.

"The report makes grim reading and rightly identifies that older people are being let down by NHS and social care services. We must give greater priority to prevention of illness and early intervention, to stop older people ending up in crises." theguardian.com/society/2023/j… British Geriatrics Society

A great point! It’s time to think about our Accelerate academy course titles, as we start planning next year’s curriculum we need to think about courses in healing not management 🤔 good point that LegsMatter Karen Fran Campbell | Podiatrist Alison Hopkins
