Yesterday we were in Blaengwynfi to unveil the new information board with David Rees MS Martin Roberts Stephen Kinnock We all had a great day and some useful discussions about the way in which the tunnel can be accessed. #rhonddatunnel
🛤️⛰️Lucky enough to see the historic Rhondda Tunnel for a second time yesterday - this time with Rhun ap Iorwerth! An amazing feat of engineering that, if reopened, would reconnect communities and do so much for local tourism. Huge thanks to Rhondda Tunnel Society for taking us down!

It's great to hear that the project to reopen Rhondda Tunnel Society for active travel is taking a significant step forward with the submission of a planning application which seeks approval to exhume the buried NE portal at Blaencwm.
