In Europe, parliaments are increasingly mirroring their populations in terms of (median) age.

In some cases, this is more about the general population aging rather than the parliament getting younger.

The share of women legislators is almost always higher in the delegations of EU member states to the European Parliament than in their respective national parliaments.

Here is a look at the data from 2019, following the last European Parliament election.
