Good to work with other charities supporting refugees: we matched A who attends EASE Ealing & Acton Support Enterprise with one of the volunteers there. Yesterday he moved into his own accommodation and left this for his host. Isn’t that lovely?

The 1st refugee we ever hosted 7 yrs ago just texted to invite me to his citizenship ceremony. At least he is here, and safe, having found community & steady work.

On a day that’s pretty grim for anyone who cares about asylum-seekers (or the state of our nation & politics tbh), we’re overjoyed to hear that one of our drop- in guests - who got status late 2023 - started an ace new, full-time job as a construction project manager yesterday.

On a really difficult day for all who are, support (& host) asylum-seekers & refugees - what with the #RwandaBill passing & the sad deaths in the channel, we’re thinking of people grieving, anxious & apprehensive. This isn’t what many/most people in the U.K. are. #RefugeesWelcome
