The opening keynote session of the #CannabinoidGRC is in full steam, so great to see science in person BryanRoth Hurd Laboratory of Addiction Neuroscience @Katonalab
Can we identify common mechanisms behind antiviral drug effects by analysing drug and SARS-CoV-2 induced gene expression signatures? Our latest project, led by Szilvia Barsi is now published in PLOS Comp Biol: journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/a…
Excited to share our recent review in Frontiers in Systems Biology, which highlights the use of perturbation gene expression profiles to connect causal perturbations to gene expression changes for drug discovery applications. frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…
I had read a paper on GPCRs and arrestins in Journal of Biological Chemistry several years ago and sent a congratulatory note to the authors. I met the 1st author in Budapest last week and he mentioned how motivating that email was to him and inspired him to continue in this field. #Win#For#Science.
DSI is a form of synaptic plasticity mediated by endocannabinoids (eCBs). With Linlin Fan, we demonstrated in vivo that place cell activity triggers eCB signals affecting GABAergic inputs; and that cannabinoid receptors modulate place cell tuning. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
Congratulations to @Katonalab and colleagues on their new article! They combine #Electrophysiology and correlative #Confocal and #SuperResolution #Microscopy to identify and study single synapses, providing insights into retrograde cannabinoid signaling: bit.ly/4eaXCB0
A new paper shows that the #endocytosis of #GPCRs such as AT1R can influence biased signaling through #BetaArrestin, suggesting the efficacy of beta-arrestin-binding ligands depends on spatial location as much as on receptor conformation. Semmelweis University scim.ag/7th
Our perspectives on the various aspects of bias in GPCR function, with a special focus on their relevance to the kidney, have been published in Nature Reviews Nephrology. nature.com/articles/s4158…
