Everyone has a right to freedom of speech but scaring or intimidating kids while they’re learning at schools should be, and soon will be, illegal.

Today David Eby, Rachna Singh, and I presented legislation that will help keep kids safe from intimidation and harassment on school grounds.

There’s no place for hostility against children, and schools need to be a safe place to learn.

NEW - AG Niki Sharma (she/her) has introduced a bill that would create a bubble zone around K-12 schools and ban protests and 'harmful and disruptive behaviours.' This is in response to anti-SOGI protests that have targeted schools and school board meetings.

The former gov't bought too much power when we didn't need and paid too much for it - 3X the market price. This caused rates to skyrocket for people and businesses.
We've kept rate increases under inflation for 6 years in a row (also 12% below the BC Liberals Rates Plan) 👇

Today, we launched BC Hydro's competitive call for power - the first in 15 years - to generate the electricity we need to build a clean economy and create good jobs (800 to 1500 per year) across the province.

Most landlords and tenants rarely have disputes.

For the small minority who do – we’re taking action.

Today, I tabled legislation that will protect tenants from unfair evictions, promote better compliance, and improve British Columbia's rental system for everyone.
