Not long till they return to North Wales!

A walk through the dunes from Prestatyn to Gronant. Little Terns were in fine form. 2 singing Grasshopper Warblers, Whinchat + 250+ Sanderling in various plumages. Small Copper, Gatekeepers, Small Heaths + Broad-bodied Chasers. Also several Common Star-of-Bethlehem Gronant Little Terns

Little Tern. Coloured pencils on paper

I don’t often get patch ticks these days but chuffed to bits to find this Little Tern at RSPB Conwy this morning. Showed well for 20 mins at the south end. Yellow colour ring so presumably a Gronant Little Terns bird. 2 Great White Egret, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Common Sandpiper too 👍
