Did you know? In a 2019 WBUR poll *81%* of respondents want the long-discussed North-South rail link, which would connect North & South stations in Boston - to be built! There is massive support from the public - so let’s #BUILDTHELINK #mapoli wbur.org/news/2019/09/2…

Secretary Pete Buttigieg Our NSRL WORKING GROUP chaired by Governor Mike Dukakis has multiple members in each of the six New England states and the North/South Rail Link is by far the most important rail projects among other worthy projects that would be part of the combined regional rail network

Members of the NorthSouth Rail Link Working Group (of which our own Field Coordinator Joe Aiello is a member) continue to push for the project and see a possible renewed interest as the incoming Healey administration takes office at the Massachusetts Statehouse. ow.ly/cenQ50LZOTh

Storing train cars in Downtown Boston is a waste of real estate and a huge missed opportunity. Use #WidettCircle to build the North-South Rail Link instead. It will ultimately save $$$, connect & create communities, and put us on the path to the transit system we need.

NorthSouth Rail Link Jon Chesto This sends message to North of Boston including NH and Maine, GET LOST! The North/South Rail Link is in the 2017 and 2021 state Democratic Party platforms - THE SOUTH STATION EXPANSION PROJECT pushed by Baker IS NOT!

NorthSouth Rail Link Jon Chesto Ugh... A colossal wasted effort that only invests critical limited transit funds in a literal dead-end solution. #mapoli kill South Station expansion. Bring the #NorthSouthRailLink now! Seth Moulton

Why is the MA Democratic Governor supporting #SSX which is an old misguided and failed Charlie Baker transportation plan that essentially kills the NorthSouth Rail Link - NSRL is a project in the MA Democratic Party platform! #mapoli

“It’s a serious misdirection of policy because people don’t have an eye on the real solution, NorthSouth Rail Link”, said John A.Businger vice chair of the NSRL North Working Group (fmr Gov Dukakis is Chair) “They’re pushing one without doing anything on the other.” #mapoli #bospoli #SSX

NorthSouth Rail Link Jon Chesto We are not the best and the brightest around here! To show that one person manes a difference the absence of Ted Kennedy, the prime congressional supporter of the NSRL and the co-sponsor with George Mitchell of Maine of the original funding, is sadly huge!

The Fort Pointer Jon Chesto 1. Would rather have NSRL than S. Station Expansion 2. Would like the Post Office moving and the road opening again 3. I think a new Post Office works best in Widett Circle rather than the more valuable land near Pappas

Matt Martinelli (@mattjmartinelli) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Jon Chesto Yes - if they expand S Station, they need that yard. But if they do the more logical NSRL, they can store trains elsewhere easier (or so I understand from transit experts). But then you don’t need USPS to move at all.
