Museum Freecycle Trimontium Trust Museums Association Use fresh local grown/ produced foods with less transport miles.Sometimes heating is too high in cafes and it is uncomfortable to eat if too hot, turn the winter heating down in museum cafes. Often lighting is turned on when there is no need,daylight from windows in sufficient.

Museum Freecycle Museums Association Ikon gallery in Birmingham sold water in glass bottles in its café and offered tap water in a glass for free. Small things like that help.
Museum Freecycle Museums Association We are currently working with Leeds university to look at providing our cafe customer with some form of carbon footprint guidance on the menu to see if this alters the buying behaviours. Its still early days and we are envisaging a traffic light scheme
Museum Freecycle Museums Association A little flavour of our ethos- We make all our sandwiches in house and package in biodegradable packaging. We shop local where possible & our coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified.

Linda Ribeiro Museum Freecycle Museums Association Good morning Linda! Bacofoil & Willow's Choice are both options but both still relatively expensive compared to plastic alternatives. Still looking into whether they sell in on an industrial scale though :)
@PhotoTAW Museum Freecycle Museums Association We've replaced plastic in our cafes with compostable vegware and are looking at other ways to reduce our waste.
