Excited to share my lab’s first paper online today at Science. So proud of my team Jinyan Zhao Qun Anthony Huls Zhenhong Chen It was great fun to collaborate with Guo Group Alex Guo at CMU and Garcia-Borràs Group Marc Garcia Borràs at IQCC-UdG on this project! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

A collaborative work led by the Chang group NC State Chemistry and joined by Alex Guo explores the mechanism of a methyl insertion reaction via cryptic oxidation, which expands the C-C bond formation mechanism in non-heme iron enzymes. J. Am. Chem. Soc. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Finally, someone explained the alchemical symbols on the elevator doors in the Mellon Institute CMU Mellon College of Science. Notice the handwritten one at the lower left corner? 🙊?

I'm excited to share with you our latest collaboration with the Liu group in BU Chemistry -- great work from Ronghai, my post-doc Andrew, and all authors! pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art…

It's great to be involve in this study led by the Chang group NC State Chemistry and joined by Jiahai Zhou, Binju Wang xmu, and the Liu group UT Austin Chemistry

Yet another interesting mechanistic study of novel C-C bond formation by non-heme enzyme from the Chang lab NC State Chemistry. Congrats!!!Mechanistic analysis of carbon–carbon bond formation by deoxypodophyllotoxin synthase pnas.org/content/119/1/…

Now it’s our turn to host R. David Britt CMU Chemistry. Looking forward to his talk later today!

If you like iron complexes with interesting electronic structures, have a look at our most recent work in Inorganic Chemistry spearheaded by Brett Hakey and Dylan Leary. Great collaboration with Alex Guo and John Berry's group.
