on £18.62/hr to move to £22.67/hr over time! A very reasonable request Mr Wes Streeting Unison - BSM Health Branch

Wes Streeting But how many of these "GP" appointments were actually with non-doctors*? *clinicians, practitioners, ANPs ACPs, PAs, advanced practitioners, specialist practitioners, advanced clinicians, specialist clinicians...

Ankit Kant He’s probably bought into the idea that ACPs etc can become “specialists” in Medicine without ever having studied or qualified in Medicine. It’s unlikely that Streeting is being advised by people who are experts on medical practice and or successful in workforce planning. 1/

Ankit Kant The one time he got someone who had actual credentials and knew what she was talking about (Leng), she basically said everything that’d happened was really very wrong. And that tells you a lot about the disaster that is NHS management right now, and they’re his advisors. 2/2

David Smith Indeed, a very easy way to release some money for more training posts and local posts and also the right thing to do given current PA unemployment in Wales. We clearly need more doctors, it’s not evident at all that we need more PAs.

Wise Owl Jen Johnston Diane Abbott we have less drs than comparable countries & over prior Govt lost 1/5 of our acute hospital beds. A deliberate reduction.

NHS Swipe Card Wes Streeting Keir Starmer A fraction of nurse practioners (only few months bookwork) vs junior drs (ongoing independent in-work exams & training till becoming consultants) yet disproportionately higher safety incidents in nurse practioners! Safety matters. Use doctors not noctors! england.nhs.uk/wp-content/upl…

Adam Calthrop Steve Gill 💙 🇺🇦 Resident Doctors Wes Streeting So that's way over a thousand residents with no jobs, just from this survey. The NHS is an absolute joke.

Dr Sumi Manirajan One more time for those at the back. There’s NO SHORTAGE of GPs, just a shortage of funding for GP jobs. & there’s NO SHORTAGE of qualified Drs wanting to train as GPs, just a shortage of training places. Public money is being used to REPLACE GPs. Wes Streeting Stephen Kinnock
