Reeves condemned by Social Security Advisory Committee for failure to carry out impact assessment on WFP cut. Millions of pensioners will face the choice between 'heating and eating', and Labour just don't care. Incompetence, negligence, or both? express.co.uk/news/politics/…

Reality check #Coventry has seen over 22,000 arrivals from overseas in a single year. Almost have 50,000 have arrived since 2011. Today more than 25% Coventry’s residents were born outside the UK. NHS, schools and housing are said to be at breaking point Outside Coventry’s A&E a

Some of the 1,450 illegal immigrants who arrived in our country last week have been taken to the 4 star Crowne Plaza Hotel at Heathrow, after processing at Manston, near Dover. The Crowne Plaza is a short-term stay hotel after processing at Manston. From there, they are shipped

Within the NHS, "chargeable overseas visitors" should have paid £61,000,000 in 2020/21. How much was actually collected? Just £21,000,000. With an enormous £46,000,000 written off... Ever get the feeling hardworking Brits are being ripped off?

1,000 real criminals to be released early tomorrow while Peter Lynch who should never have been imprisoned has sadly died in prison. I hope Keir Starmer can sleep at night as he now has blood on his hands Our justice system is broken RIP Peter Lynch 🙏

Thanks to Patrick Christys for this great reveal. Did your MP vote to stop The Winter Fuel Allowance, whilst announcing themselves as Champions for Age UK?

I don’t agree with scrapping £2 cap on bus fares. Working people need to get to work Let’s not punish people further for simply getting to work. I personally really understand buses, I build them! And I can tell you, lots of people rely on them every day! act.38degrees.org.uk/act/keep-the-b…

Ed Fraser (@egwfraser) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Hiking the bus fare cap to £3 a journey is terribly short-sighted. All of the hard work encouraging people back onto buses will be undone, and as a result thousands of bus routes will be put at risk. Providers should ignore govt and keep their single bus fares capped at £2.

Scrapping the £2 bus fare cap is a disgraceful decision that will harm the poorest in society, and discourage public transport at a time when it is needed more than ever. Why is the government punishing people for trying to get to work?

Fair play to Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle who gave a bollocking to Rachel Reeves for strutting around the world announcing her plan to change the government's fiscal rules before debating it in parliament.

Sian Berry (@sianberry) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Not happy with making people choose between heating and eating, Labour adds daily travel? A fifty per cent fare hike will be a burden many can’t take. Buses get low paid people to work, students to college, parents to shops, and are accessible to everyone who can’t afford a car.

Our thoughts on today's #AutumnBudget announcements: 1) Nothing in the Budget changes the plight of the 4 in 5 pensioners on low & modest incomes set to lose their Winter Fuel Payment this year when they can’t afford to do so, & that’s a HUGE disappointment. ⬇️

Proud to stand alongside #WASPI women in their fight for fair and timely compensation. The #WASPI women cannot afford to wait any longer. I’m committed to fighting this injustice – we must ensure that they get the support they deserve. #WASPI Campaign

It’s absolutely ridiculous that MPs get their energy bills in their second homes paid by taxpayers. This is made even more absurd as pensioners lose their winter fuel allowance and energy bills are rising. We are funding our politicians while they punish us.

I've requested the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office takes steps to ensure that not a penny of British taxpayer money is given to overseas farmers. They have refused to do so. I don't care about farmers in Rwanda or Brazil, I care about British farmers. I'm told

Maybe controversial, but when I was a kid I collected all these. Never did I think it was racist, in fact I never even related it to a black persons face. It was something on the back of a jam jar you collected and sent off. Where have we gone wrong 😢😢😢
