Great start to the day in Chinatown at the annual Lunar New Year breakfast hosted by Assemblymember Grace Lee 李榮恩 and Office of Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine! In the year of the wood snake, let us remember the power of building a stronger and more resilient community.

Creating better lives for our immigrant community begins with rejecting the fear mongering. And from there, providing access to vital resources during these challenging times. This is the work La Colmena 🐝 aka The Beehive is committed to for the Staten Island community. Powerful visit today.

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has served as a staple in the Brooklyn community—providing guidance and resources to businesses navigating an ever fluid economy. It was a pleasure to connect with the Chamber’s leadership about how we can partner to deliver relief for our business community.

Equal opportunity and resources are essential for those re-entering society and beginning a new life. The folks Legal Action Center (LAC) are working to ensure this is a reality for New Yorkers across our state. As Chair of the NYS Council on Community Justice, I am proud to partner with them.

Leadership requires accountability—both to yourself and to those you lead. That is how you build trust and genuine connections with those you represent. Today, I was honored to uplift this message with the year’s Leadership Capital Region Chamber class. Thank you for having me!

Great to be back in Hudson this evening where I had the honor and privilege of swearing-in my friend, Rep. Josh Riley. Congratulations, Congressman! Onward and upward.

Affordable and attainable access to services, such as housing and child care, is critical for upward mobility. Today, alongside Rep. Josh Riley, we heard from the leadership at Delaware Opportunities about these services and how they positively impact the Delaware community.

Another great visit with Rep. Josh Riley at SUNY Delhi to hear directly from students involved with the school’s Center for Community Engagement. As we look to expand service opportunities across the state, these conversations are both informative and inspiring.

Black History Month serves as a time to draw strength and wisdom from our history—and a reminder that our democracy is rooted in morality. Tonight, I was honored to join the SUNY SUNY New Paltz BHM Convocation to share this message as we continue our march toward perfecting our union.

Dr. King knew the infinite power of love because he lived it every single day. I shared with the Columbia BLSA about Dr. King and our history we have overcome. To meet the moment we are in right now, we need to unapologetically lean on love.

Proud to join Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood today for their Day of Action. We will continue to fight to keep abortion safe and legal here in New York. It’s on all of us to stand up and protect women’s health care and the freedom for women to control their own bodies.
