Children are exposed to five times more #airpollution during the #schoolrun. Highest level on main roads & near #idling vehicles = stunted lung & brain growth😱

I don’t own a car and I advocate for phasing out non-disabled private car ownership in cities.
So I’m querying why current cycling lobbying is so insistent that high car ownership is a “part of the mix”.
After four years of LTN experimentation, we know traffic relocated from high car ownership roads onto less affluent roads does not 'evaporate'.
Those responsible, for increasing air pollution exposure for so many of London's children, must be held to account. #LTNjustice
Carlos Moreno | IAE-Paris Sorbonne LAist We live in a bustling neighbourhood where our children's school, swimming pool, parks, playgrounds, tennis courts and a wide range of shops are reachable by a quick walk or bike ride.👏
Imposed LTN traffic relocation schemes reduce shop 'proximity'. 👇x.com/LittleNinjaUK/…
Hi Caroline Russell I thought you might like to share the RNIB latest PR on floating bus stops. It confirms they are dangerous to blind/partially sighted folk.
They want a halt to new FB's and existing ones to be made safe.

Visit Camberwell #AnalyseTrafficOrigin With #ANPR 2016 research carried out by SOB. We combed TfL stats for Lea Bridge Road over 11 yrs.
There was no recorded incident, of any kind, between a cyclist & bus in the operational bus lanes.
Credit to bus drivers & cyclists.
Restore bus lanes, kerbside stops & safer cycling!
Haringey Council Mike Hakata You say you want “people from marginalised groups and people that feel they’re excluded from the usual sort of narrative and debate” to join you 🤔 so please explain why your Councillor Mike Hakata blocked me, a clean air campaigner fighting for social, racial & climate justice.

They thought it was more important that Jeremy Vine (and some of the most hardcore cycling-only lobbyists the UK has ever produced) helped shape how Londoners move, rather than any representatives of zero-car, BAEM, elderly, farming, high street or disabled communities.

Since the pandemic began, the richest 1% have trousered nearly twice as much new wealth as the rest of the world combined.
In London, affluent communities have increased their share of clean air through traffic relocation schemes widening the health equality gap. Sir Michael Marmot
