Great to see so many friendly faces that I’ve engaged with over the years to discuss how the offer on our high streets and town centres can be strengthened and improved.

Today, we are hosting a High Streets Taskforce Roadshow at the Town Hall.

It is a pleasure to welcome colleagues from the High Streets Task Force and council peers, and to be able to share learnings and discuss the latest challenges and opportunities for our communities.

This 'High Street Showcase' event by Darlington Borough Council in partnership with agent Carver Residential Estate & Lettings Agents is a great idea.

My High Streets Task Force work in #Darlington focused on promoting the town and filling vacant units, and this initiative neatly combines the two.

Today the Government announced that Doncaster will receive funding as part of the Levelling Up fund for Doncaster North, which is set to cover projects in Mexborough and Moorends.
