Update: three positive cases in Mitcham, Hallam and Mentone. Each case are self-isolating at home and are being supported and monitored. Extensive contact tracing is underway.

We are aware of a new positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in a Hotel Quarantine worker. Our public health teams are investigating and close contacts are being notified. More details will be provided throughout the evening.

Two further individuals linked to the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport have tested positive to coronavirus (#COVID19) today: a worker, and a previous resident who exited the facility on February 7. The number of cases linked to the Holiday Inn outbreak is now 8.
