Do councillors really run councils? The answer may surprise you. The reality will certainly be a shock for Reform, now holding 10 English councils. And it might also offer a lifebelt to Labour... if it can actually grab it... 🧡

Why does National Grid seem so intent on destroying the #Lincolnshire skyline? Why is Ed Miliband not doing anything to stop it? bbc.com/news/articles/…

A Β£9Bn boost to the economy has to be a good thing. Being a rule taker instead of a rule maker has a downside though, but the World is very different from 2016. Can we afford not to improve trading arrangements with one of the largest markets in the World?

The good news is that, and we better think following from some of the policy changes we have successfully lobbed for, that we’re seeing more new homes been created which are lovely not loveless. From north to south and east to West. These are new in Essex …

Extra police patrols for ten #Lincolnshire towns deemed unaffordable, including #Spalding. Residents have long called for more visible policing which was in the The Labour Party manifesto. Please advise how the pledge is to be delivered Diana Johnson DBE MP πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸŒˆ lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/lincoln-n…

I suppose not having much of a car industry in the UK has its benefits. What President Trump fails to appreciate that the EU is not a country. Several countries have deficits. He also fails to understand that European car manufacturers make cars that American consumers want!

I've added a missing piece to the picture showing the view from the Lutyens Memorial in #Spalding I hope that if the proposed 4 storey care home is built near by this view will not be spoilt. historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-li… #HistoricEngland #MissingPiecesProject via @historicengland

Good to hear that Skegness have secured some volunteers for the Jolly Fisherman Peter Levy but I don't know why you have given PETA any airtime. Their views are extreme as are their actions. Close to terrorism at times.

Not sure that this will resolve an intolerable situation. There was a time when peacekeepers would have been sent in to intervene. That is what is required now. Standing by and watching famine spread is not an option.

A country that does not let journalists in, is a country that has something to hide. It is time that the actions of the government of Israel is called what it appears to be.

Reform are in denial. Climate change is real. We don't need more oil or gas. What we need is solar panels in the right places. We need them on rooftops not in fields. We can be greener and smarter. Peter Levy
